My Story

I'm an IT professional based in the Calgary region, AB, with experience working at some of Canada’s top companies, including Shaw Communications (now Rogers) and Suncor Energy. I’ve always had a strong passion for technology—especially cybersecurity—but let’s be real: it’s a tough space to break into. Like many others, I’ve found that getting hands-on experience in cybersecurity is one of the biggest hurdles.

So, while I take time to further my studies in Cybersecurity and Cloud Computing, I started Defend & Design as a passion project—a way to stay engaged with the industry, connect with like-minded professionals, and add some humor and style to the IT world.

I trust in continuous learning, the power of the tech community, and the belief that persistence pays off.

I realized that while cybersecurity is all about defending digital assets, there's no reason we can't design some awesome gear along the way.
